Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out time is 11:00 am. Reservations can be cancelled up to 48hrs in advance of arrival date to avoid a cancellation fee of one night’s room and tax.
Overnight self-parking (subject to change) is $27.60 and valet is $35.65 per vehicle, per day.

- Tuesday, October 7 | Welcome Reception, 5:00PM – 7:00 PM in Starlight Lounge | Join us for a light appetizers and open bar to make connections and find your Buddy! Welcome comments at 6:00 PM.
- Wednesday, October 8 | Breakfast & Registration, 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM in Alabama A | Grab breakfast and make connections at open network tables. First-Time Attendees can stop by our informal First Time Attendee Meet up (look for signage).
FLIGHTS & GROUND TRANSPORTATION
The Montgomery Regional Airport is a small airport serviced by small flights through Delta and American Airlines. We highly recommend making flight arrangements as soon as possible to determine your best travel options.
The Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM) is approximately 10 miles from the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa, approximate drive time is about 12 minutes depending on the traffic. Daytime arrivals should have no problem with taxi/ground transportation options. However, high traffic times and evening arrivals may have less availability for taxis/ride share.
ECFC Airport Shuttle:
ECFC will provide shuttle transportation on the afternoons of Tuesday, October 7 and Friday, October 10 between Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM) and the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa.
- Tuesday, October 7: More Than Tours will provide shuttle service for ECFC attendees all day (for flight arrivals shared with us beginning at 8:30 am and ending at 11:30pm. More Than Tours staff will be onsite to greet you at the MGM airport. The airport is small. When you exit security, look for the large SEE MGM sign (near rental cares) to find our shuttle host.
- Friday, October 10: Shuttle times will be announced on Thursday.
Rideshare:
Taxi, Uber/Lyft fares are approximately $15.00 one way depending on the traffic. Daytime arrivals should have no problem with taxi/ground transportation options. However, high traffic times and evening arrivals may have less availability for taxis/ride share.
Other options:
- Montgomery offers a new shuttle service called the M Micro Transit for only $1.50, Monday through Friday, 5am - 9pm. Reservations should be made in advance. See this brochure for more information, and visit the M Micro Transit website for more information and to make reservations online.

ONSITE MASKING CONSIDERATIONS
Our community partners remind us that collective well‑being starts with community care. While current Alabama Department of Health and CDC guidance does not require masks, you are welcome to wear one at any time.
At the ECFC registration table (Ballroom XL foyer) we’ll provide:
- Masks
- Hand sanitizer
- Color‑coded comfort‑level stickers for nametags
- Green – comfortable with close interaction
- Yellow – prefer some distancing
- Red – prefer extra space
Choose what feels right for you, and thank you for helping keep our gathering safe and respectful.
ATTIRE & ACCESSIBILITY
Meeting Attire:
ECFC does not have a dress code to for in-person meetings, and encourage dressing for your own comfort. At recent ECFC meetings, this has ranged from jeans to business casual. Various parts of the learning tour entail walking (on/off transportation, through museums) and outdoor sites so we encourage comfortable attire and walking shoes. Choose whatever makes you feel most at ease and comfortable in a professional meeting space and for site visit participation.
Weather:
In early October the average high temperature for Montgomery is 79°F and the average low is 57°F. Hotel meeting spaces and musuems may be cool, so you might want to bring a light jacket or sweater, please check your own source for weather information as the meeting dates approach.
Accessibility:
On Wednesday, time set aside for self-paced exploration of Equal Justice Initiative sites will entail a fair amount of walking. The Legacy Museum is within a few blocks of our hotel, and once at the museum, there is a free shuttle between the museum, sculpture garden and memorial. All three sites have accessibility accommodations including manual and motorized wheelchairs on a first come first serve basis. Most other site visit venues and museums are easily accessible (elevators, first floor entries) with a few exceptions (Thursday evening events at More Than a Horse Farm).
