Pushing Equity and Alignment in the Early Childhood Funding Space
ECFC provides a venue for funders interested in early childhood to learn, share, and explore and maximize philanthropy’s role in creating equitable and sustainable early childhood systems. We want to attract more funders to this field, and partner with those who fund in intersecting arenas like health, economic justice, and K-12 education, and advocate on behalf of children and families.
What We Do
Over 30 years ago, ECFC was started by a ‘motley crew’ of children and youth grantmakers that recognized the need to convene funders who supported the unique time of life that makes up the early years. Since then, we have learned together, seeded systemic change, elevated policy conversations, and over the last years, evolved into a strategic body pushing equity and alignment in the early learning funding space.
