LIFT-LA and ACEs LA Medical–Financial Partnership

LIFT-LA and ACEs LA Medical–Financial Partnership

The LIFT-LA and ACEs LA Medical–Financial Partnership (MFP) integrates financial resilience coaching, public benefit navigation, and wrap-around supports directly into pediatric and prenatal care. It is designed to proactively address the economic drivers of health and mitigate Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress in families. Launched with UCLA, LIFT-LA, and the LA County Department of Health Services (DHS), the program embeds financial coaches directly in clinical settings. Coaches help parents achieve financial goals, navigate benefits, and build savings, which has been shown to boost family income and improve preventative healthcare attendance.

The Medical-Financial Partnership is a Proofpoint learning community supported by Pediatrics Supporting Parents, a collaborative of eight funders including ECFC members:

  • Einhorn Collaborative
  • Conrad N. Hilton Foundation
  • The David & Lucille Packard Foundation
  • Perigee Fund
  • Roots & Wings Foundation
  • K. Kellogg Foundation
