RJ Martinez joined the LANL Foundation in July 2017 and currently serves as the Early Childhood Program Manager. In this role, he works closely with the Early Childhood Program Director to coordinate initiatives in Rio Arriba County and statewide, with a focus on creating generational impact. RJ’s work emphasizes the long-term benefits of early childhood education, aiming to ensure that today’s efforts to support young children and their families will positively affect future generations.
An enrolled member of Santa Clara Pueblo, RJ has also served as a Tribal Councilman for his community. His background includes 13 years of experience in Student Affairs at various colleges and universities, along with two years in Human Resources at the Santa Clara Development Corporation (SCDC), where he later served as Interim CEO. His work in both education and tribal leadership is deeply rooted in fostering resilient communities that thrive across generations.
RJ holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Fort Lewis College and a Master of Public Administration from Grand Canyon University.
