Rena L. Large

Program Director

Rena directs ECFC programming, including online events and in-person member meetings, and helps shape learning experiences across ECFC priorities and projects.  She has served in numerous roles for national nonprofit public health and philanthropic initiatives and organizations focused on children, youth and families, including: the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs; University of Minnesota’s State Adolescent Health Resource Center; and the National Education Association’s Health Information Network. Her love for philanthropic alignment and action has spanned more than 25 years, first as staff and consultant to Grantmakers for Children, Youth and Families, later as a consultant helping launch the Funders Group on Parent Organizing, Family Engagement and Leadership Development, now Funders for Family Leadership. What Rena loves most about her work is creating connections, products, processes, guidance and systems that empower others to do or improve their own work in support of children and families.
