Alma is the Grants and Contracts Administrator at the Early Childhood Funders Collaborative (ECFC), where she manages financial operations and contract management.
Prior to joining ECFC, Alma held a Director of Grants and Contract Accountant position with a non-profit organization out of Addison, Illinois. There, she managed over $40 million in revenue, including $20 million in child care funding across more than 20 private child care sites. Her responsibilities included financial reporting, revenue recognition, agency and government budgeting, compliance, expense tracking, and reconciliations for an organization with more than 2,500 employees, not including the 20 child care partners.
Alma also held a Senior Accountant position at a for-profit retail services firm based out of Lisle, Illinois, where she supported the financial reporting and reconciliations for the acquisition of a $20 million merchandising company with about 3,500 employees. Previously, she served as a Regional Business Manager at a nonprofit agency in downtown Chicago, overseeing financial operations for $11 million in revenue across 24 childcare locations. Her role encompassed financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, revenue recognition, and ensuring compliance with city and federal regulations.
