Raising Child Care Fund Welcomes New Grantee Partners

Raising Child Care Fund (RCCF) pools and shifts private foundation dollars to community organizers who work alongside parents, early educators, and providers to lift voices, build power, and expand equity.

Since 2019, RCCF has grown to support organizations in 16 states and Washington, D.C.  Their goal is to find, resource, and reach groups in 30 states by 2025.

RCCF is pleased to welcome two new grantees to their partner community:

Springboard to Opportunity’s (Jackson, MS location) goal is for affordable housing residents to recognize the power that they already have to disrupt these systems and make change within their own lives, communities, and the various systems that affect their day-to-day lives by providing the tools and supports necessary to enact that change.  Mississippi Low-Income Child Care Initiatives is a statewide non-profit public policy advocacy organization working to strengthen women’s economic security by making child care affordable for low-income working moms, achieving gender and racial equity in the workforce and making the safety net work for women. While Springboard and MLICCI have collaborated on several task forces and working groups in the past, this project will mark the beginning of a formal collaboration between the two organizations to shift narratives surrounding families in poverty and uplift and amplify the voices of caregivers in the community and support organizing for change.

First Up in South East Pennsylvania empowers and equips early childhood professionals, families, and other adults influential in young children’s lives through training, coaching, and advocating to positively impact educational and developmental outcomes for young children.

This project will develop the Latinx Early Childhood Education Equity Project – entitled E.C.E. Latinos (Educating and Connecting Educators) – alongside providers that serve children and families who primarily speak Spanish. This language justice initiative will build on a statewide Child Care Collaborative that has begun with participation of over 100 providers.
