The Raising Child Care Fund’s (RCCF) 2024 Impact Report, Power-Building in Action: How Community Organizing Is Transforming Child Care, spotlights how grassroots leaders in 16 states and Washington, DC are advancing racial, gender, and economic justice through child care organizing.

RCCF, a project of the Early Childhood Funders Collaborative, supports grassroots organizations led by parents, providers, and early educators to lift voices, build power, and expand equity in state systems.

Developing Capacity and Power to Make Change Over Time

In 2024, RCCF grantee partners reached over 800,000 people through digital messaging and mobilized more than 16,000 individuals in advocacy. Their campaigns helped to deliver state-level wins that connect child care to gender justice, economic security, racial equity, immigrant rights, and civic participation.

This year’s report tells the story of sustained organizing in communities across the country. It also reveals what’s possible when philanthropy resources and shares power with those closest to the issues.
