We are a transformative on-the-ground and online multicultural organization of more than a million members and over a hundred aligned organizations working to increase family economic security, to decrease discrimination against women and moms, to fight racism, sexism and xenophobia, and to build a nation where businesses and families can thrive.

Highlights
At the national level, MomsRising has ensured that WV moms were consulted when national organizations were strategizing about messaging and advocacy in WV. MomsRising also leveraged our resources to back up Amy Jo’s efforts with media outreach, digital ads, and innovative ad campaigns, for example, staging a conversation about care policies at a local West Virginia supermarket with moms, a mobile billboard and press outreach when Senator Manchin said he wasn’t hearing about care policies at the supermarket. MomsRising has also been strategizing with Amy Jo about how to engage the growing population of BIPOC women in the leadership of the WV mom movement, and how to best respect the expertise of state and local leaders.
