The Raising Child Care Fund: Growing Power and Capacity with Parents and Providers

Six years after the Early Childhood Funders Collaborative (ECFC) launched The Raising Child Care Fund (RCCF), the urgency for philanthropy to invest in community organizing for social and political change continues to grow.

ECFC remains committed to centering community voices in early childhood advocacy. RCCF has expanded its reach to organizers in 20 states, helping to lift voices, build power, and expand equity. In the past year alone, grantees have reached over 800,000 people through digital messaging and engaged more than 16,000 in direct advocacy efforts—some leading campaigns that are reshaping state policies across the county.

Funders joined us for a webinar featuring community organizers from Colorado, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania who shared firsthand how their work with parents and providers is transforming systems. You’ll hear how federal shifts are impacting communities, and what it will take to grow parent and provider leadership and protect and expand equity moving forward.
