National Day of Racial Healing

This event was held on January 16, 2024

Hosted by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation

National Day of Racial Healing Banner

This annual observance is hosted by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) and was created with and builds on the work and learnings of the Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation community partners, a comprehensive, multi-year national and community-based process to bring about transformational and sustainable change.

Fundamental to this day is a clear understanding that racial healing is at the core of racial equity. This day is observed every year on the Tuesday following Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Visit healourcommunities.org/day-of-racial-healing/ to learn more about racial healing, and find conversation guides for engaging children, professional colleagues and policy makers.  And find other tools and resources for  bringing people together, cultivating trust, building relationships and telling true stories about your community or organization’s racial past, including the 2023 National Day of Healing MSNBC Town Hall, and a 14-part digital series, Changing The Narrative, which explores the subject of advancing racial equity through the experience of racial healing, produced by NBCUniversal News Group, and sponsored by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
