Ask Me Anything with Katie Hamm on Head Start

This Online event was held on December 11, 2025 @ 11:30 am - 12:00 pm EST
Head Start is a program that feels like a constant, a reliable source of support for working families that everyone knows and supports. And yet, like much of our safety net, Head Start has seen cuts, challenges, and closures. Katie Hamm, will walk through what has happened so far, what she’s watching, and most importantly, what we can do to help families relying on uncertain child care supports.
Join the Children, Youth and Family Funders Roundtable for this quick and interactive session, come with your questions and get ready to dive into Head Start policy with us!
Katie is an early childhood leader and advocate, visiting professor at the Erikson Institute, and the former ACF Deputy Assistant Secretary for Early Childhood Development, where she oversaw Head Start during the Biden Administration.
