ECFC members are supporting a variety of work focused on economic opportunity and supports, financial stability and wealth building for kids, families and early educators.

ECFC's Fall 2024 Member Meeting gathered examples of economic themed work ECFC members and other EC funders are supporting or partnering on to demonstrate a wide range of related strategies in portfolios focused on early childhood and families with young children.  Categories/themes of member work included:

• Cash Assistance & Basic and Guaranteed Income - pilots, research, advocacy
• Tax Credits & Tax Policy - advocacy, implementation, outreach
• Benefits Access - e.g. ensuring families can access all eligible benefits; housing and housing access
• Improving Work - e.g. for parents, for providers, wage increases, paid leave, unionization, workers rights, job training
• Wealth Building - e.g. baby bonds, children's savings accounts, building families’ well-being. generational wealth
