Founded in 2011, the CT ECFC's mission is to bring the collective voice and resources of philanthropy to build and sustain a comprehensive early childhood system that works for all children, families, communities and the workforce in Connecticut. An initiative of the CT Council for Philanthropy, a state association of grantmakers.
CT ECFC is a project of the CT Council for Philanthropy, a state association of grantmakers. Staffing is contractual. CT ECFC has 21 members (as of Dec 2020) including private and community foundations, corporate funders, and United Ways. Membership fees are $1,000 minimum contribution to become a supporting partner and $7,500 minimum contribution to become a member. Active members participate in meetings and work groups and are authorized to render all decisions of the Collaborative including those related to grant awards, governance and the work plan and budget. Contributing partners are entitled to attend annually two funder focused learning opportunities related to early care and education and receive all ECFC written materials.
