Show+Tell is an online interactive event series showcasing the most promising innovations in early childhood development with the potential for scaled impact for children facing the greatest adversities. We know that in order to achieve equitable outcomes for all children and families we have to invest as early as possible to address barriers children and families face that create race and other-identity-based disparities.
So what are leaders doing to advance equity and justice?
In July, 2021, Promise Venture Studio, with thought partnership from ECFC, will host a two-part Show+Tell featuring leaders in the field advancing equity and justice:
July 13th, Part 1 focused on Birth Equity and Justice features innovators working to achieve equity for all birthing people in birthing outcomes, touching on topics such as maternal health, honoring community-based birthing professionals, interventions for medical providers addressing obstetric racism, infant mortality, and more.
July 27th, Part 2 focused on Equity in Early Care and Education will look at ways to reimagine systems of care at the earliest ages, touching on topics such as centering cultural traditions, celebrating linguistic differences, equitable compensation for the ECE workforce, reframing quality assessments in early learning, ending unjust disciplinary practices in early learning and more.
